Co-President - Gabe Friedman

Gabe Friedman is a sophomore from Boston, Massachusetts studying Business Economics and International and Public Affairs. In addition to his involvement with BPEC, Gabe serves as the Director of Consulting for the TAMID Group and is a member of the Brown University Men's Club Golf Team. Gabe is also an avid skier and aviation enthusiast who enjoys shredding the backcountry and plane spotting in his free time.

Co-President - Irene Choi

Irene Choi is a junior from Chicago, Illinois majoring in Applied Math and Economics. Before Brown, she pursued a nontraditional path, studying Theology, Leadership, and Social Impact at ministry school and working in the California wine industry. On campus, Irene is involved with Brown Students in Real Estate and FLAB. Irene is also a food and wine enthusiast who is currently working through the World's 50 Best Restaurants List.

Co-Director of Education - Jack Connolly

Jack Connolly is a sophomore from Saint Regis, Montana concentrating in Computer Science and Economics, with a particular interest in enterprise software. In high school, he founded a small app development business to fill an untapped niche in rural areas, and on campus, he is involved with Van Wickle Ventures and Innovation Dojo. In his free time, you can find him golfing, snowboarding, and attempting to play the piano.

Co-Director of Education - Josh Kavel

Josh Kavel is a sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia studying Computer Science, Economics, and Applied Mathematics, with a particular interest in healthcare investing. In addition to his involvement with BPEC, he is a member of Brown's Socially Responsible Investment Fund and plays on the Brown Men's Club Basketball Team. Josh is also an avid reader and pickleball enthusiast who enjoys staying active in his free time.

Head of Industrials - Brook Ephrem

Brook Ephrem is a sophomore from Charlotte, North Carolina studying Economics. In addition to his involvement with BPEC, he is also a member of the Brown Investment Group. Brook enjoys playing pickup basketball and is also a huge Charlotte Hornets and Carolina Panthers fan.

Head of Healthcare - Ethan Mehta

Ethan Mehta is a sophomore from Long Island, New York studying Applied Mathematics and Economics. He previously interned at Evercore and is involved with Brown’s Socially Responsible Investment Fund and the Bruno Finance Society. Ethan is a huge New York sports fan, supporting the Giants, Knicks, and Yankees. In his free time you can find him playing pickup basketball at the OMAC or going on hikes with his friends.

Head of Consumer & Retail - Chandler Shriky

Chandler Shriky is a sophomore from New Jersey studying Applied Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science, with a particular interest in value investing and entrepreneurship. In addition to his involvement in BPEC, he serves as a Research Analyst for the Brown Investment Group and is a member of Brown Students in Real Estate. In his free time, Chandler enjoys reading philosophy, learning new languages, and going to the gym.

Head of TMT - Sameer Menghani

Sameer Menghani is a sophomore from Vineland, New Jersey studying Computer Science and Economics. In addition to his involvement with BPEC, Sameer serves as a project leader for the Brown Collegiate Consulting Group, where he has worked with major clients such as Coursera and GitHub. He is also a board member of the Brown Machine Intelligence Community, where he explores applications of AI at the intersection of technology and business. Outside of academics and professional pursuits, Sameer enjoys singing with his a cappella group, building AI tools, and traveling with friends.

Newsletter Editor - Jason Baek

Jason Baek is a sophomore from Seoul, South Korea studying Computer Science, Economics, and Applied Mathematics. He previously interned at Excalibur and Sage Blacksmith, and recently helped organize the first Brown University Math Olympiad. Jason is also a devoted FC Barcelona fan and plays in Brown’s Intramural Soccer League. He also enjoys lifting at the gym and practicing card magic in his free time.
